A Delicious Treasure Hunt For Kids

Another great summer event for the kids in Hampton Roads! This one I really love for the local farm connection.

Hampton Roads families of elementary aged children head on over to Buy Fresh Buy Local Hampton Roads and download their local treasure map! You can print the maps or download them to your smart phone.

This fun "treasure hunt" takes kids/families on a tour of 8 local farms where you get to sample fresh, local food and get a stamp on your map. After kids have four stamps on their map they can turn it in at Gilly's Creamery (Virginia Beach Farmer's Market) for a FREE child sized ice cream cone.

This event runs all summer through August 31, 2012 and is a partnership between Buy Fresh Buy Local Hampton Roads, Lynnhaven River NOW and Back Bay Restoration Foundation Have fun!
