Abandon Ship Family Day!

This weekend you can stop by the Mariners’ Museum in Newport News for their Abandon Ship! Family Day.

Where: Mariners’ Museum 100 Museum Drive, Newport News, VA 23606

When: Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 11am-3pm

What: Receive a “ticket” for a journey by sea! You will have the chance to learn about what dangers and events have led sailors to abandon ship. Learn about survival techniques – putting together a quick bag of necessities and creating fresh water from ocean water. Finally have your picture taken in a life raft to document your rescue!
