On Saturday, March 16, the Peninsula Fine Arts Center will be hosting Community Day with FREE admission and low-cost children's activities!

When: Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 11am-3pm.

Where: Peninsula Fine Arts Center 101 Museum Dr, Newport News, VA 23606

Cost: Free admission to the museum, $2 children's activity fee

Planned activities:

• Figuratively Speaking: The ART of the Message. This series of four exhibitions focuses on how artists convey a message.
• A search for hidden shamrocks
• Pottery demonstration
• Air-dried clay art projects
• Create green slime
• Paint project
• Granny Squared yarn graffiti
• Musical performances from the Gildersleeve Middle School chorus
• A preview of "The Wizard of Oz" from Menchville High's theater department
• Chinese dance performance
• SPCA will be on hand with some adorable animals (adoptable!)
