Discounted Admission to Old Cape Henry Lighthouse

Happy 50th Birthday to the City of Virginia Beach!

There will be a birthday celebration to honor this milestone at the Cape Henry Lighthouse.

As a part of the celebration residents of the City of Virginia Beach, as well as anyone with a military ID, will pay half price admission January 19-21, 2013.

This promotional admission rate will end up being $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for children ages 12 and younger.

Where: Cape Henry Lighthouse 583 Atlantic Ave., Fort Story, VA 23459

When: January 19-21, 2013 from 10am-4pm

Regular Admission Rates: $5 adults, $3 children 12 and younger

At 11am on January 19th, Mayor William D. Sessoms, Jr. will be on hand to kick off the celebration- there will be birthday cake all day for visitors.

If you plan to climb inside please note that children must be 42 inches tall to climb the lighthouse and may not be carried up the steps. There are also no backpacks or frontpacks allowed on the staircase.
