Get ready for some great family fun! The Ducktape Regatta is an annual fundraiser benfitting Hampton Roads charities. Event participants/teams have just four hours to create a “boat” out of a sheet of plywood, two 2x4s, a roll of duct tape, and a pound of screws.

Once construction is complete the boats are tested for seaworthiness and speed. This event is FUN, and in previous years has raised more than $150,000!

You still have time to sign-up to participate in this event. Pre-registration ends on Friday, September 5, 2014.

Where: Willoughby Harbor – a VMG Marina on 1525 Bayville Street in Norfolk, Virginia

When: Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 8am-4pm

Cost: $75 if you pre-register to compete (get a free shirt!). $85 registration the day of the event if there are spots available. Free just to watch the fun!
