Happy Birthday US Coast Guard (Free Event)

A FREE Event this weekend at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum to celebrate the 224th birthday of the US Coast Guard!

  • Where: Lightship Portsmouth Museum #2 High Street Portsmouth, VA
  • When: Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 10am-5pm
  • Cost: FREE

Activities will include:

  • WWII Living History Groups USN-1943 and Dogs For Defense
  • Performances from Bob Zentz and company
  • US Coast Guard fast boat on site
  • Early Revenue Cutter Service demonstrations
  • Displays of Coast Guard historical documents, photographs and memorabilia
