Summer Reading Programs are starting soon at your local Military Libraries! The theme this year is Have Book Will Travel!
These programs are open to Military and DOD dependents.
Bateman Library on Langley Air Force Base will run their Summer Reading Program: Have Book Will Travel from late June to mid August 2013.

Fort Story Library on Fort Story will run their Summer Reading Program Have Book Will Travel from June 14 - August 16, 2013.
June 14, 2013 330-430pm Summer Reading Kickoff with Bubbles the Clown at Youth Center
Children ages 0-12 will receive incentives for reading books (being read to counts but please pick-up books at library). 5 books read up to 20 books
Ages 13 and up will also receive incentives for reading books. Incentives will be given at 4 books read up to 20 books.

Groninger Library on Fort Eustis will run their Summer Reading Program from June 17 - August 11, 2013. Have Book Will Travel. Registration opens June 17th.
Summer Reading is open to ages 2-17.
Kids earn points based on the number (and length) of books read. For every 500 points earned kids can earn a prize. Points are given out every 5 books read. For every 5 books read kids will also earn and 1 entry into the Mystery Prizes Giveaway.

JEB Little Creek Library on Little Creek will run their Summer Reading Program from June 17 - August 16, 2013
Summer Reading Kickoff Event will be June 17th from 1-3pm outside the library.
Summer Reading is open to all ages (young children may be read to).
Kids log their titles each week and may receive an incentive for every 5 books read. Everyone gets a certificate of participation.

Some FREE Colonial Fun is planned this weekend in Virginia Beach. The Adam Thoroughgood House will be celebrating the end of the school year with Colonial area activities and games as well as hourly tours of the historic home.
The F2FA Kid Fit Camp at Kosama is designed to bring health and fitness to kids aged 10-13 years (male & female) in an environment that will inspire their creative side and motivate them to motivate others.
