Ok, first things first....everyone take a moment and think sunny thoughts for next weekend!!! There is too much fun on the calendar for it to rain...including the Pungo Strawberry Festival!
The Strawberry Festival was once of the first local festivals I attended in Hampton Roads, even before we were permanently living in the area. If you haven't been it is worth the trip!
The Festival runs both Saturday and Sunday, May 26-27, 2012 from 9am to 7pm. The Parade will be Saturday May 26th beginning at 10am. There are no pets allowed at the Festival.
On-site at the festival you will find food (much of it strawberry themed!), lots of great local vendors, and tons of family-friendly fun. Clowns, face painting, carnival rides, livestock, music, fire truck water demonstrations, police dog demonstrations, a pie eating contest, pig racing, and of course the Parade on Saturday. For a full schedule of events click HERE.
You can find the Pungo Strawberry Festival at 1776 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. Parking is $5 and admission to the festival itself is FREE.
