The Strawberry Festival was one of the first local festivals I attended in Hampton Roads, even before we were officially living in the area. If you haven't been it is worth the trip!
On-site at the festival you will find food (much of it strawberry themed!), lots of great local vendors, and tons of family-friendly fun. Clowns, face painting, carnival rides, livestock, music, fire truck water demonstrations, dog show, a pie eating contest, pig racing, and of course the Parade. For a full schedule of events Click HERE.
When: The Festival runs both Saturday and Sunday, May 24-25, 2014 from 9am to 7pm. Although the entertainment schedule hasn't yet been released, the Parade will likely be on the morning of Saturday May 24th. There are no pets allowed at the Festival.
Where: You can find the Pungo Strawberry Festival at 1776 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
Cost: Parking is $10 and admission to the festival itself is FREE.
Make sure you leave yourself time for parking and for the traffic that can happen with such a popular event.
