Sea Turtle Release Friday Morning!


Come out to the Virginia Beach oceanfront on FRIDAY to give a big send off to five rehabilitated sea turtles – Captain, Honeysuckle, Poppy, Drake and Wisteria!

The public are welcome to come watch the release. Please arrive early to find parking so you don’t miss the release! These rehabilitated turtles include two of the most common species to Virginia’s coastal waters: Kemp’s ridley and loggerhead sea turtles.

Where: 31st Street along the shore behind Neptune’s Park, Virginia Beach Oceanfront

When: Friday, August 31, 2018 at 9am

Cost: Free Event
