There are strawberries galore in Hampton Roads, here is a list of local places you can go to Pick Your Own Strawberries with the Kids. We have had a blast doing this the past few years!

Make sure to always call or check websites/Facebook before heading out to pick!

  • Now open for the season! U-pick strawberries, picnic area, see farm animals (horses, donkey, pony, sheep) over the fence. Fields are open for the season. There is no "admission charge," you pay for what you pick. Call or check Facebook to confirm picking the day you plan to go. Toilets and hand-wash sinks are available on site.

  • The only organic U-pick field for strawberries in Virginia. Fields are now open for the season. There are 2 children’s play areas and all kids leave with a sticker and coloring book. Farm stand will be open selling produce, pre-picked strawberries and local products, snacks and drinks. Friendly farm animals are always there. Now offering: Birthday parties with pony rides and group/school field trips.

  • Oliver Farms offers U-pick strawberries and hopes to have fields open the second week in May, 2013. While open on weekends, keep in mind mid-week picking is great, and less busy too!
