Don't miss the annual Turkey Pardon at The Virginia Living Museum!

Celebrate the long and healthy lives of the Virginia Living Museum’s wild turkeys during their tenth annual Turkey Pardoning on Wednesday, November 27, 2019! Enjoy indoor exhibits about wild turkeys and indoor activities that begin at 10am. 

Join Newport News Mayor McKinley Price as he pardons the turkeys during a brief ceremony beginning at 11am. Find out more about this event here!

Bring a non-perishable food item to “FILL THE CANOE” in the Museum lobby for the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. All individuals who bring a can will receive a coupon for a bottomless fountain drink or coffee for the Wild Side Cafe

Location: The Virginia Living Museum, 524 J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, VA

Cost: Museum admission includes this special ceremony on the outdoor trail, and additional turkey-themed activities beginning at 10am. VLM members enjoy free admission, for non-members Museum admission, is $20 adults, $15 children ages 3-12.

Hours: The VLM is open 9am to 5pm Monday through Saturday and noon to 5pm on Sunday. The museum is closed Thanksgiving Day.
