Several great events coming up at The Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, and they are open to the kids!

In January:

TEEN BLOW allows teens to learn the basics of glassblowing using hand tools, heat, gravity, and air pressure to create their own unique works in glass.
Friday, January 20 from 5-9 pm and Saturday January 21 and Sunday, January 22 from 8 am-12 pm.

In February:

I GLASS ♥ YOU takes place on Saturday, February 4 and Sunday, February 5 at 9 am, 10:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 3 pm Wednesday, February 8 at 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 pm. Kids (ages 10+) or adults can work with the Studio Team to create a cast-glass heart to gift to your loved one. Each session can have up to 8 participants, and beginners are welcome (young family members under age 10 may watch from the Studio audience).

The gift will be available for pick-up at the Studio on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Cost: $40 for Museum Members, $50 for all others.

In April:

SAVE-THE-DATE for FAMILY NIGHT on Wednesday, April 11 from 6–8 pm. This special Spring Break night is the perfect opportunity for your family to have some fun together at the Museum. Enjoy gallery tours, hands-on activities, music, and more. Cost: Free

 

Ongoing:

Don't forget the (Free) regularly scheduled family programs at The Chrysler Museum including Second Saturday Family Day, Stroller Tours, and Tickle My Ears: Stories and Art at The Chrysler.
